Halloween is always a crazy time at my house. We're usually getting ready for a show (or two), and on top of that I am usually trying to squeeze in a Halloween costume for Jack and me. Last year, the cheeseburger was a success - a lot of work, but worth it since it was his first Halloween. This year, we were preparing for back-to-back shows and oh yeah, trying to launch my online store. Which is SO close, people! (More on that soon!) I still wanted to make Jack something special. I figure it won't be long before he'll want to be a character like Batman or Spiderman, so now is my chance to have some fun with it.
I had the idea to make him into the World's Strongest Man. It took me a while to figure out how to make the muscle shirt, but once I did, it really wasn't hard. A little time consuming, but not hard. Maybe I'll do a little tutorial when things calm down a bit. :) I found the shoes at Target - couldn't have been more perfect - and made the weights from styrofoam discs and a cardboard tube. I printed the belt buckle like we do our tees and used felt for the rest of the belt. I was really happy with the results!
And my costume? Welll...I recycled my old Jessie costume from several years ago that I made before I had a business and a kid and had countless hours to spend on a silly outfit to wear to work. For one day. Well, make that two.
