Christmas lights tutorial

While I was digging around online for some fun Christmas tutorials, I came across this one on Instructables. With some origami paper and yes - some folding (don't be scared - there's a video to show you how!), you can turn a boring string of lights into something very lovely for your tree.

This kind of thing is right up my alley! I enjoy the monotony of making the same thing over and over - like granny squares for a throw. It's almost therapeutic. Or maybe I'm just a little crazy. Either way, it gives me a chance to catch up on all my shows for the week!

Silhouette Giveaway

I was so excited to come across this Silhouette giveaway on Grosgrain. If you haven't seen this machine yet, you will be blown away by what it can do! I've had my eye on it for quite a while now. No Girls Allowed

When I stole a few minutes to walk around at our last show, I came across the cutest booth - No Girls Allowed. It was full of all things boy - toys, clothes, fedoras, ties, and this adorable set of pj's. I immediately snatched them up for Christmas morning for Jack. The pics are going to be SO great. I can't wait! Check out all of the super cute boy stuff on their site - but remember, No Girls Allowed!!

Schoolhouse Electric

I recently discovered Schoolhouse Electric and instantly fell in love. I've always wanted an old house - one with character, charm and timeless style.

These light fixtures would go perfectly in my "someday" old house. They're made by hand the old fashioned way right here in the USA - the way things should be.

Some are exact reproductions of period lighting styles, and others are their own modern interpretations. All are lovely and would be a welcome addition to any home - especially mine!

We recently met Sean and his mom at one of our shows. He was about to celebrate his 1st birthday, and took home one of our birthday tees. His mom was kind enough to send me a pic of his special day to share with you!

How about ribbon?

Cute ribbon can be hard to find, especially when you're looking for just the right one for your project. These designs by Jessica Jones of How About Orange are fresh and fun, and would add the perfect finishing touch to a bag, quilt...or ponytail. :)
